Maragani Beach

A lovely, authentic Sicilian experience, surrounded by beautiful nature and crystal-clear sea. The staff were kind and professional.

It’s a peaceful place to unwind, and guests can get to the private beach 500 meters away either on foot or by car. The room was spacious and clean, with a refrigerator, TV, and air conditioning, though the soundproofing wasn’t good. The bathroom was roomy and well equipped. There are services that could be improved or added for greater comfort, but my partner and I weren’t looking for perfection. We appreciated the beautiful location and the courtesy and kindness of the people here, and would recommend it.

The room walls were so thin that there was no soundproofing. There was a locked connecting door on the left, and I could hear every noise from the next room. On the right, the plumbing was very loud through the wall whenever the neighbor flushed or turned on a tap. It was unbearable, especially since my neighbor used it several times a night. Cleanliness was another serious issue: the bottom of the sliding shower door was appalling, and the remote control batteries looked like they hadn't been changed since 15 or 18 and were completely corroded. Breakfast was disappointing for both choice and quality. For an agriturismo, I expected local, natural products, but found industrial yogurt and juices. A savory option would have been welcome, given the area's excellent cheese, tomatoes, and olives. The property has real potential, and its location and structure are exceptional, but the service doesn't meet those standards, which is a real shame. The hilltop setting is beautiful, with a sea view and a small private beach for guests. I also appreciated the owners' effort to keep the farmhouse's characteristic architecture. My room was in a separate building parallel to the main complex, in what may once have been a farm warehouse. The building itself initially seemed more than decent, but that’s where the positive parts of my stay ended.

The private beach and shady garden were lovely, and the home-cooked food was excellent. With its breathtaking view, this is one of the most charming spots along the Agrigento coast. The only sad part is having to leave. This was our second stay at this private, welcoming, relaxing place, and the owners and staff were so kind. Their kindness adds a lot to what feels like a magical, unforgettable holiday.
