Borgo Hedonè

We stayed in the Rosa appartment and felt right at home. Alessia was caring, and there’s a nice indoor pool. You’ll need to manage plenty of stairs, but then you get the kind of place shown in the photos, and it feels magical. After visiting several famous towns nearby, Noto included, we were glad we chose Scicli. It’s the most authentic, lovely little town in the Valle, and Borgo Hedone captures that feeling.

Our Sicilian friend pointed us here, and we loved the stay. The room was clean, with cool interiors and exteriors, and the location worked perfectly for exploring this charming little town. Ivan, the manager, knows a lot and was very helpful. Since the entrance is up in the hills, contact reception when you arrive so someone can help with your suitcase.

The view from outside is incredible, a real visual feast. The residence itself is tastefully furnished, with elegant pieces and no need for pictures on the walls. It’s built into the mountainside like a grotto, with stone on one side and stucco on the other, and the cliff face forms part of the headboard. There are indoor and outdoor pools, an antique library, a piano sitting room, a long balcony and garden, and lots of steps. A beautiful historic residence, without doubt worthy of a five-star rating.

The rooms were clean and really cosy, and the staff were friendly and helpful with everything. The hotel is beautifully placed in Scicli. We’d love to come back another time and stay longer.
