Poggio Bellavista

Dora was a cheerful, caring host who was always around with helpful advice. The accommodation is lovely and peaceful, and each apartment has a comfortable spot to sit and unwind at the end of the day. We spent the first seven days of our Sicily holiday there, and it made for a perfect beginning. The breakfast room and pool have a wonderful view of the coast. We'd definitely like to return.

We left the keys as soon as we'd seen the property. The room smelled unpleasant, there was dust and dirt throughout, and cobwebs in the corners. Rusty, poorly maintained faucets and a very small, unclean pool added to it. The mattresses had hair and stains and weren't comfortable to use. The poor hygiene and upkeep made the stay deeply disappointing, and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone wanting a clean, welcoming, well-kept place.

The terrace outside the breakfast room had a view that made everyday life disappear, and breakfast in the cozy setting was a lovely way to start the day. Dora made us feel so welcome and appreciates the little things that matter. Her rooms are furnished with care, and the courtyard and garden are a dream. We stayed for a week at the beginning of September and hated having to leave. It was a perfect start to our Sicily trip. We hope we'll see you again, Dora!

Dora has a hand in everything at this charming place, and brings so much energy to it. The five rooms each have their own theme, while the sea-view pool and breakfast room are lovely, with Bohemian-style furnishings. Breakfast is generous and delicious, with sweet and savory options made from local products. Set above the coast with sweeping views, it's a great base for exploring southern Sicily, just a few kilometers from the seaside village of Sampieri.
