That little terrace is lovely for a romantic dinner, and the sea view from the room is breathtaking. We were back for our second stay in this upper-floor apartment, on August 20-21, 2016, and after a few years the owners seemed even more professional and attentive to the details. Everything is thought through, from breakfast to the option of lunch or dinner, with a fridge and pantry stocked with a range of top-quality products. The apartment was spotless and smelled fresh, with all the comforts we wanted after the beach. Even the towels and bathrobes were new and super soft, and there was a hairdryer with a diffuser, which you don't often find even in the finest hotels. The location in Chianalea's charming historic center is another reason to recommend it.

Staying at Casa Vita al Piano terra really felt like being in our own home. The owners greeted us wonderfully and had already stocked the pantry when we arrived. The place is set up and equipped just like a holiday home, and they're lovely, helpful people who can be a useful point of contact if you're new to Scilla. A good choice if you want to experience Scilla as though you lived there.

Hotels.com, whom I contacted to see if they could find a solution, said there was nothing they could do in this situation. My reservation for the first half of August had been canceled back in February 2020 because of Covid concerns. I found the hoteliers inexperienced and unreliable, and I wouldn't book with them again. I'd advise others to stay away.

The nights were incredibly quiet, quieter than in most places I've stayed. I was here three years ago, and found the apartment lovely, well equipped, and blessed with spectacular views.
