The room wasn’t even dry when we were finally let in after waiting for hours. The shower drains into a little can on the floor, in a space they call a bathroom, so it’s really impossible to use. And the so-called sea view is really a view of the restaurant, with just a little water visible between the houses. They advertised breakfast, but there was none. The door was hard to open and close, and nobody did anything about it. There was no Wi-Fi, despite them saying there was, and no minibar either. When we called about problems, nobody came. The TV had only one channel. They charged more than the price on booking, with no service to go with it. The staff and directors were really impolite. It’s a bad look for Scilla, and the mayor ought to close the place so it doesn’t give the city a bad name. My one star should be considered 0.null.

Zero stars. The location and accommodation were horrible, and the place smelled awful. A lot of our clothes went missing, the fridge didn’t work, and the shower was laughable. The owner will cancel your reservation and then insist you book directly and pay cash. You won’t get a receipt: they say, “We cannot connect right now. We email it,” but they never do. Don’t make the mistake we did. Skip Scilla, it’s a waste of time.

I enjoyed my stay. The room was clean and more than fine, the A/C blew cold, and the wi-fi worked. I can’t understand some of the bad reviews. I’ve stayed at several hotels in that area, and they’re pretty much the same.
