We found La Scottiglia on Google Maps again today while reminiscing. Two years ago, on our first trip together, my now-wife and I were driving around Italy without a plan. We'd just left a fancy five-star hotel and had nowhere to stay when La Scottiglia appeared by the road, lit up like fate. I went in and asked if they had a room. They did, with a warm smile, probably in Italian. The room was simple and just right, the food unforgettable, and the view like a dream. Most of all, we remember how warm and welcoming the people were. It's a core memory, and we'll return one day. Thanks to the staff, and belly rubs for Django.

Breakfast was a real treat, full of tasty local products, and the staff were consistently attentive and efficient. The restaurant was very good, with a solid range of dishes, though some smaller plates felt a little pricey and the €3 coperto seemed high. Service felt in line with the price. Booking and communication went smoothly, check-in was quick and welcoming, and the room was in good shape. Just note, there was no fridge in ours.

Getting there by car wasn't the easiest, but the food and service made it worth it. The ravioli and steak were tasty, and we loved the homemade dessert too. Friendly staff, good service, and reasonable prices. Definitely the best Italian restaurant for our honeymoon. Highly recommend!

I've stayed at a few hotels in Seggiano, and Scottiglia is my favorite by far. The family who runs it and the staff are so welcoming and accommodating. The price for the quality is amazing. I can't recommend it enough.

The portions are generous and the food is filling, with a really good taste. There are several wild boar dishes to try, and the kitchen is very good. Special thanks to the staff member, who was so lovely!
