The shared spaces are wonderful, and there's even a kitchen where you can make something for yourself. The pool and the views are great, and I liked the room too, though the shower curtain had mold at the bottom. Still, the welcome felt really odd. I didn't feel welcome at all, and the receptionist seemed a little annoyed by our questions. The restaurant food was mediocre for what it cost.

The rooms are decorated really well, and the views are fantastic, just as you'd expect in Tuscany. But from check-in onward, this was the most unprofessional hotel I've experienced. I had an odd feeling after speaking with the receptionist on the phone a few weeks earlier, and meeting her in person confirmed it for me. I think she needs to change how she generally interacts with people. I've also heard that others have raised these things over the years without being taken seriously, but I'll say it again: the pillows are useless, and guests should be told the restaurant's opening and closing hours.

I really liked the house, and the view is like nothing I've seen before. The rooms are clean and smell lovely, with care put into every detail. Food was good, coffee was very good, and everyone was lovely. The wine was okay, not bad, though Tuscany has better options for less money. The bed felt cheap and wasn't very sturdy, which was the one thing that bothered me. I'd come back just to sit outside and watch that unmatched sunset. When I mentioned the beds to Beatrice, she listened kindly and thanked me for the feedback.

The sunset from the west-facing balcony in room "Giglio" was so good that we actually came back early from our outings to watch it. The valley view was spectacular, easily as impressive as the marked viewpoints in nearby towns, and a glass of wine out there was perfect. We chose this place after looking at several options. The building feels modern and newly decorated, but still has farmhouse touches, which works really nicely. The rooms were comfortable, the service was impeccable, and both dinners were great. I've lived in Italy for several years and am pretty spoiled when it comes to Italian food, but the chefs really know what they're doing. A lot of the produce comes from their own yard, and you can taste how fresh it is. Breakfast wasn't a buffet because of Covid measures, but we got a list of plenty of choices, including eggs, ham, homemade cake and granola. There are handy extras too: a fridge with wine and drinks that you record on a list and pay for, a communal kitchen with a fridge, a book area, and their own wine and olive oil production. The stay exceeded all our expectations.
