NH Milano 2 Residence

The staff were friendly and helpful, and breakfast was quite nice. But I was disappointed by the hotel. Everything felt old and dated; the carpets were stained and the curtains were poor quality. The room didn't feel fresh, which I think was because it couldn't get fresh air. It didn't seem like a 4 star hotel to me, more like 3. For such a large resort, I was surprised there was no spa. The gym was very small, with only 3 machines, and I had to go to another building for breakfast. I'm attaching some pictures from my stay.

This hotel felt extremely low class and poorly maintained, and I was very disappointed. The rooms were dirty, the walls had patched holes, there was no bar open, and water ran all night. The doors wouldn't open when I inserted my key. The heat at night runs at about volume 65 dB. I stayed at the sister hotel 20 minutes away, which is what I understand to be a good-class hotel. This one is obviously under renovation, but nobody seems to know it.

There isn’t much nearby for restaurants or shopping, and the hotel feels far from everything. The rooms are decent, though clearly dated, and there aren’t enough outlets. Street noise can be pretty noticeable at night, especially on weekends.

We were glad to spend the rest of the trip at another hotel. Our room here was very hot because the air conditioning didn’t work, and the cushions were extremely hard. The hotel is outside the city in a nice neighbourhood, but a week before our booking they cancelled our reservation without warning. We managed to book it again for part of the trip, though I expected proper communication. I also saw that other guests had run into the same problem when they arrived.
