We've been returning for four years, and it still feels enchanting each time. Giuseppe is wonderful and always available. The place is surrounded by greenery, with breathtaking views, and everything is clean and tidy. The pool feels like paradise. What sticks with me most is the peace and those spectacular views. There seems to be hardly anyone living nearby, perhaps just one person or maybe four or five, with sheep around, and it's a single road in by car. Once you're there, though, it's quiet. Agriturismo Borgo di Fonni is a lovely place to enjoy nature and calm, and a good base for exploring. Norcia, Cascia, Foligno, and other places are about an hour's drive away. We especially recommend Rasiglia, the Venice of Umbria. When we visited Norcia, sadly there was little to see apart from scaffolding and buildings propped up after the earthquake. It may be worth skipping for now. I feel for locals who depend on tourism, and hope the work moves quickly so we can visit again. We spent four days here with a family of friends. The apartments were spacious, comfortable, very clean, and had more or less everything we needed. Mrs. Annarita was very helpful, and Mr. Giuseppe was accommodating too. We could barbecue in the evening without any trouble. There weren't enough garden lights near the barbecue area, so we used the street lamp, but with so little traffic we could manage as we liked. The swimming pool is shared among three apartments, one of them for two people. We had two apartments, so it felt almost private. The other guests were from Rome, very nice, and we all got along well. The kids had a great time too. The first shops, bars, and newsstands are a long way off. The tobacco shop is only in Sellano, about a twenty-minute drive, so bring what you need if you'd rather not get back in the car. The main downside is the many flies and other flying insects, especially around the pool. The greenery and nearby stables don't help. It's a pleasant choice for peace, nature, and quiet evenings, and not for nightlife.

Renting the ground-floor studio gives you a little private garden and a magnificent view, in a very beautiful, peaceful setting. The larger apartment upstairs can be noisy if your neighbors are inconsiderate.
