Hotel Orso Grigio

We came as three families, 15 people in all, including seven kids, for a 50th birthday. By the end of the week, the staff from reception, the restaurant and the bar felt like part of our family. They were outstanding. Hotel Orso Grigio exceeded what we expected. It was comfortable and clean, and the wellness center was beautiful. Breakfast and dinner were at the level of a hatted restaurant, and Michael the Chef is a food mastermind. We couldn’t have asked for a better hotel, location, service or experience. We can’t wait to return. For a family ski trip in the Dolomites, come here, you won’t be disappointed!

A nice little hotel with lovely rooms and good spa facilities: two saunas, a steam room, and a pool with jacuzzi. Breakfast is great, and dinner is pretty good too. If you’re driving, the location works well; without a car, it feels a bit isolated. Shops and a few restaurants are a 10-15 minute walk down the road. At €200 per room, it seemed a little overpriced, though that’s to be expected in the Dolomites.

Hotel Orso Grigio was a great surprise and far better than we expected. The staff were friendly, the food was delicious, and the breakfast buffet had lots to choose from, including cheese, fruit, nuts and pastries. Dinner was a four-course meal, with two or three choices for each course. There’s also a bar open all day with a good view outside. At 4 eur, it’s hard to resist an Aperol Spritz, but watch out: every drink comes with aperitivo snacks! The spa was really nice, with two saunas. The pool was very heavily chlorinated, though, and made a lot of people sneeze in the wellness area.

The wellness area is beautiful, the staff are really nice, and they welcomed our dog too. The hotel itself is amazing, with beautiful rooms and a good location. Breakfast is delicious and dinner feels luxurious. If we’re back in the Dolomites, this will be our clear choice.
