We picked Garni Miara for the second year in a row because it sits right on the Ciampinoi slope, and it delivered again. Step outside, put on your skis, and you’re on the piste within seconds. There’s no walk, shuttle, or hassle. The place is run by the warm and helpful Perathoner family, who shared useful tips about the slopes, weather, and places to eat. The rooms are modern, clean, comfortable, and well kept. Breakfast was a real highlight, with a generous buffet of fresh South Tyrolean breads, local cheeses and speck, boiled eggs, yogurt, cereals, excellent espresso, and homemade jams. After skiing, we often unwound in the quiet wellness area, which has a Finnish sauna, steam room, and whirlpool/hot tub for sore muscles. It’s compact but does the job. For the price, it’s outstanding compared with the big 5-star places nearby. Cleanliness is impeccable, the WiFi is solid, and parking is easy. Miara feels like a true “home in the Dolomites,” authentic and hassle-free, with an ideal base for serious skiing. We’d return next year, and highly recommend it to anyone after convenience, charm, and a great breakfast without breaking the bank. Thanks to the Miara family for a memorable stay!

We spent Christmas week at Garni Hotel Miara for a wonderful family holiday. The Perathorner family were friendly, helpful hosts, and we saw them each morning at breakfast, which was excellent. Our room was clean, had a great view, and had everything we needed to be comfortable. The location makes skiing especially easy: the ski room and entrance are just metres from the Ciampinoi gondola, and there’s also a shortcut behind the station to the main street. Several nice restaurants were nearby, where we had dinner. A week wasn’t nearly enough time to explore the Dolomites, so we’re already looking forward to coming back next year!

We’ve been coming back to Miara regularly for more than 15 years, including every year since 2021. The location is perfect, the hosts are very hospitable, and the rooms are excellent. Breakfast is lovely, with a great range of foods and an amazing mountain view. 10/10, highly recommended!

After visiting Ortisei and Santa Cristina, we decided Selva was the best spot in Val Gardena for a winter getaway, and Miara was our hotel pick. It’s beautiful and modern, close to the slopes, and most of all, very quiet. Excellent!

A perfect ski-in, ski-out spot, with a delicious breakfast to get you ready for the slopes. The loveliest family runs this hotel, and I even had a few ski lessons with their daughter. Amazing place for a ski holiday.
