Hotel Atlantic

Watching the sunrise and moonrise from the balcony was lovely. This is a place to relax and enjoy the view, since there are no restaurants or other services nearby. The hotel itself is dated, but clean and comfortable, and breakfast service was good for the price. It’s in a quiet area with a couple of free beaches right in front. We found a fair price for a sea-view room, something I’d wanted to try for a while since they’re usually expensive and hard to find on the Italian Riviera. Just keep in mind that the hotel is far from Senigallia center, not walking distance, so you’ll need a car.

The hotel is close to everything in this small, lovely city, and public transport stops near the entrance. Our room was clean and cozy, with a TV and balcony, and there’s a private beach with all the beach gear plus bikes to rent. The sea view each morning was amazing. Breakfast upstairs was a real treat, with tasty coffee, pasta and frutti di mare. The staff were very kind, though for now only one person could speak English. We’d happily stay again.

We left as soon as we paid for the beds. My family, including our two small children, had been on the beach for four hours when an unfriendly woman came over saying we owed money. Her approach felt threatening, unlike anyone we had encountered in Italy before. She pointed us to a tiny sign with umbrella prices, written only in Italian, showing €20 per bed. There was no notice at the beach bar, in English or otherwise, and not even a basic sign saying the beds had to be reserved. The beach bar itself was okay, but the whole situation was dreadful. Never again.

The hotel is right across from the sea, which made for a great location. Our room was very clean, and both the food and service were very good.
