The service really stood out. Our daughter hurt her foot, and the woman at the desk was lovely and told us exactly where to go and what to do. Everyone helping guests was kind, polite, accommodating, and very helpful. We also had a wonderful lunch here, one of our best meals in Italy. I’d recommend the cheese platter, ravioli, risotto, and truffle pasta. The red wines were all fabulous. I’m partial to reds, so I can’t fairly judge the whites tasted alongside them. Breakfast was much better than we expected, with a buffet plus dishes you can order from a menu. I’m not a Nutella fan, but my family raved about the housemade version and said it was a must try. The room was beautiful and well equipped. My daughter and I especially liked the face cream. There’s a mini fridge with reasonably priced charges, and full sized wine bottles in the room with glasses and an opener. The Chinotto in the fridge was the best we’d had so far. It was quiet and had everything we needed. The only small annoyance was that the sole mirror was in the bathroom, so my husband and I had to take turns getting ready. We only watched TV for about ten minutes, but following the room instructions helped us find options in several languages. It took us a while to work out the AC, though our son figured it out. I’d happily recommend staying here.

The atmosphere and the views were amazing, and breakfast went beyond what I expect in Italy. The hotel is brand new, with top class facilities and service, quality furniture and equipment, and exceptional cleanliness. For relaxing and exploring wine, it’s the best place I’ve ever been.

I still remember my visit to Fontanafredda in 2012 very fondly. The rooms were spacious and clean, the staff friendly, and breakfast delicious. The experience stayed with me so much that I recently bought a case of the 2012 La Rosa Barolo back home.

The service was very good, and the rooms are new, nicely decorated, and have lovely vineyard views. It’s a comfortable hotel spread across a few buildings on the winery estate.
