Locanda La Corte

Stunning mountain views, and Acciaroli is just 15 minutes away. The guy running the B&B was super kind and always available. We had a great experience, a dream! 🤩

We come back each summer to Locanda La Corte, and apart from the terrible 2020, this would have been our tenth vacation anniversary here in Cilento. Every year we choose "A Petra Chiatta". The rooms’ names, the lavaturo that recalls the hard work women did long ago, and the old oil mill’s millstone all add to the place’s appeal. So do the sunlit courtyard in the afternoon, the little ruined chapel of Sant'Antonio and its one angel that has survived time, ivy threaded through the fig trees, and that generous breeze. In the morning there’s the smell of freshly baked croissants and fresh coffee. We’re drawn to the family-run feel, where every guest is made to feel at home, and to the kind staff, tireless Enzo Maria, and Alessandro, who balances university studies with the joyful, enthusiastic work of welcoming guests and making our stay special. More than anything, we return because each year we find a little piece of ourselves again, as if we’d never left.

The location was beautiful, breakfast was plentiful and good, and the staff were incredibly welcoming and friendly. The rooms’ cleanliness was the one problem. I’m sorry to say it, but people shouldn’t be accommodated in that condition. It needs improvement.

For the price we paid, it was adequate. The booking and service were helpful, and breakfast had sweets, though I’d have liked savory choices and fruit too. The location may not suit anyone who has trouble with mountain terrain and winding roads. There are several drawbacks to the attic rooms.
