For one night's sleep, it's adequate, but that's about it. The hotel feels stuck in the '60s, right down to the blankets and sheets, and the towels are so stiff they could pass for sandpaper. Someone on the night shift kept thumping up and down the stairs and waking me. He seemed like an ogre, rude and boorish, and I almost thought he was doing it deliberately to disturb guests. At €75 a night for a double room, it's decidedly expensive for what's offered. The staff were friendly.

The place sits among enchanting hills, with a magnificent view over a breathtaking lake full of fish. Surrounded by nature, the hotel feels enchanting too. The cuisine is excellent, the owners are professional, and Michele is the best.
