Hotel Ristorante Il Giardino del Nonno

We came for a yoga retreat with Marina Boccone and to celebrate our 40th birthdays, and the hospitality made the trip. Anna, the owner, was lovely; her daughter Antonietta helped arrange golf cart transfers, which were so useful in a town with no cars. Chiamara at reception was warm and ready to help with anything, even taking great photos of us, and Chef Nicola kept turning out memorable meals. The food was beautifully prepared and full of flavor, especially the octopus salad, prawns, and vongole, with a nice choice of local wines. They even packed breakfast for our 5am departure. We had a wonderful stay at Agroturismo Il Giardino del Nonno in Sant'Angelo, Ischia.

Dinner was fantastic every night, especially the divine pasta, and breakfast was lovely too. The sauna and grotto were a fun experience, and I loved having two outdoor pools. Chimara and the whole staff took great care of us during our short stay. The property is peaceful and comfortable, with gorgeous views. It takes a bit of a trek to get there, but it’s worth it. We’ll be back :)

The thermal pool views are breathtaking, and my suite was beautiful. Breakfast was incredible too. It’s a family-run hidden gem with so much heart, one of my favorite places I’ve stayed. Thank you, Chimara, Nina and Anna. I’m looking forward to coming back.

The rooms are made up every day, and they provide a hair dryer and towels, plus beach towels if you want to go to the beach. There’s a Roman bath and two hot pools. The staff are really nice and helpful, and the place itself is lovely, with good food and espreso. A great spot for a holiday.
