B&B Milano Sesto Marelli Hotel

The room was bigger than expected, spacious and clean, and the bed was the comfiest ever! The aircon worked brilliantly, which was great in the 30 degrees heat, and the WiFi was fine. We mostly used the hotel as a base and were surprised by how much we enjoyed it. Breakfast had great options for everyone, and the breakfast staff were lovely. Some reception staff barely chatted or gave information, but that didn't bother us. My only real gripe is the single socket in the room. We had to charge two phones before full days out, plus powerbanks, a portable fan, and hair appliances, so sharing one socket was a bit brutal. We usually bring an extension cord, but didn't this time since it was only 4 days, and this was the trip we really needed one. Still, it wouldn't put me off coming back! 🙈

I stayed for a week on a business trip, paying €185 per night, and they couldn't even lend me an iron because the only one they had was “missing.” The person at reception made no effort to find a solution. How can a place for tourists not sort out such a simple problem? This is pure mediocrity and a lack of professionalism. None of the staff seem properly trained or prepared for hospitality. The room was very small, and I could hear all the noise from the hallway. The safe didn't work, so I had to carry my important documents and money with me at all times, and no one was sent to repair it. The ladies at breakfast were rude, disrespectful, and aggressive when speaking to guests. Reception staff also seemed untrained and unprofessional. The elevator was another problem. There are 14 floors, and taking the stairs was the fastest way to get around because the system is so inefficient. Do not stay here, you'll have a bad experience.

It's a very nice medium size hotel, about 5 mins from Sesto Marelli station and 20mins from the centre of Milan. Breakfast is standard, with a fair number of choices, and the cleaning was top notch. Loris at reception was really helpful and gave precise directions. The reason for 4 stars is that the rooms could use tea making facilities and a small fridge.

The staff's kindness and support made a big difference after I accidentally left a bag at reception. It contained a CPAP machine essential for my treatment, and they helped throughout with handling, packing, and arranging things with the courier service. I really appreciate it. The facilities are comfortable and well maintained, and the location is excellent, very close to the metro station, which makes it easy to get around Milan. I had a very good experience and highly recommend the hotel for its customer service and overall quality.
