Breakfast was a real highlight, fresh, high quality, with pretty much everything you could wish for. I liked the notes about where the dishes came from, and most of the food was local. Dinner had plenty of choice and every dish was excellent. I might have preferred smaller portions, since we ordered a bit too much on the first evening, but we enjoyed the food enough to eat at the hotel every night. Our waitress was lovely and often made us laugh. We came planning to stay two nights and ended up staying three, wishing we could have stayed longer. My wife and I had a wonderful long weekend, and the anniversary celebration became unforgettable. Thanks to the Watschinger-Steiner family. We hope to return soon. From our first inquiry, the staff were warm, friendly, and helpful. It really felt like a family hotel run with passion. The rooms have been beautifully renovated, and waking up to the Sexten Dolomites view made us smile each morning. Both receptionists were cheerful and helpful whenever we needed answers. The hotel has a garage and secure bicycle storage. I noticed the founders are still actively involved in keeping everything running smoothly. The grounds are cared for down to the smallest detail. The only thing I missed was a place to charge an electric car, though I'm sure they'll add one soon. There's a reasonably priced fast charger in San Candido near the summer toboggan run.

The hotel is close to the bus station and ski area. Our room was big and clean, and the food was delicious, made with local and natural products. The cleaning lady was very nice, and our hosts were friendly.

All the staff were cheerful and happy to help, and Lisbeth at the front desk was especially welcoming and lovely. I can't fault this hotel. It was a perfect stay, and we're very sad to leave.

We spent four lovely days here, and the view from our room was breathtaking. The service was impeccable, with staff going out of their way to make the stay great. Breakfast was a highlight, all made with high quality ingredients. I especially liked the fresh fruit press, flower pollen for my muesli, homemade jams, and, best of all, the house-made pistachio cream. It surpassed all our expectations, and I can't wait to come back.

Hotel Royal is a great ski-in/ski-out option in Sesto, and it made another trip memorable. I've never felt so at home in a hotel: the staff are phenomenal, polite, kind, and helpful. The food is excellent, and they take extra care with allergies. I have celiac disease, and nowhere else has given me the choice and attention this team did. It's one of the few places where I feel truly comfortable eating while traveling. Our room was modern, spacious, very clean, and so well soundproofed that we didn't hear a thing. Everything made for a wonderful mountain stay, and I plan to return for years.
