Sextner Hof

The location worked perfectly for us, with a bus stop right next door for the train and trailhead, plus a grocery store and ATM close by. We had a fantastic stay in September 2020, taking a rest day after four tough hiking and via ferrata days. Our double room was spotless, and the bed and pillow were very comfortable. Both breakfast and dinner were great, and the staff were really friendly. I highly recommend this place!

The host was genuinely nice, but that's about the only good thing I can say. The whole building smelled of cigarette smoke. During our two nights, staff entered our room five times and even woke us one morning. I'm still not sure what was happening, since they didn't speak English. The shower had no water pressure, and a fixed stool took up the whole stall, so there was nowhere to stand. The WiFi was too weak to use for work.

I enjoyed my stay. The rooms were spacious, bright, and clean, and the owner was extremely nice. The hotel is right in the center of Sesto, near the town hall.

The only real plus was the central location in Sexten. The hotel was overpriced, with cold, dirty, old rooms, very slow internet, and a very poor breakfast. Construction workers were using jackhammers and other loud machinery until 11pm. This was the worst hotel I've stayed in in Sexten, especially compared with other village hotels that were cheaper and much better.
