The resort is larger than the nearby places, with plenty of facilities for families and kids of all ages. There are several fun family parks close by, and cable cars take you higher up for trails, treks and other activities. Just plan meals carefully: most restaurants close between 2 and 5:30 pm, and some may be shut on certain days, so there aren’t many options. The mountain views are breathtaking. The rooftop hot tub and outdoor pool were clean, with superb views, and restaurants and a small supermarket are a short walk away. I stayed in the Smart Suit Green, across from the main building. It was still convenient thanks to the underground passage when it was raining or snowing.

We stayed five nights with our three kids, and the place was great for them, with planned activities and lots to do. Service was outstanding. We only had breakfast at the restaurant, but it was wonderful.

We’ve been here twice, and both times it was a great experience. The people are so lovely and warm, and the mountain views all around are breathtaking. If you’re travelling with kids, this place is an easy choice. I think it’s a good fit for couples too, or anyone without children who’s wondering where to go.

Food was adequate, and this seems like a great place for a young family with little kids. But there were lots of noisy, rowdy children running around late into the night. If you’re looking for a quiet hotel, or some peace and quiet, this isn’t the spot. I wouldn’t recommend it for that.

The Dolomites looked gorgeous from the pools, and there are good hikes starting right from the hotel, with plenty more within a 30-minute drive. We especially loved the Anello del Vallon Popera hike. The food was good, especially the desserts, and the kitchen and servers took good care of me with my celiac disease. The kids had a fantastic time with the playground, pools, farm animals and child programming. They did art projects, played in nature, joined games, used the trampoline and bouncy castle, fed the animals and more. Mom and Dad got to do some rigorous hikes on our own for a couple of days, then meet back up with the kids for a swim before dinner. We’d happily return to this special place!
