Our second visit to the restaurant was a delight again, especially for the food and hospitality. This review is only about the restaurant, not the hotel. It’s just outside Sestola in an incredibly peaceful setting. AIC certified, it offers a completely gluten-free menu. They bring a seasonal appetizer to welcome you, and finish with their homemade blueberry liqueur as a digestif. I highly recommend it.

The family running the hotel are very friendly and helpful, and the location is very good. The food is excellent, with lots of gluten-free choices, all fresh and delicious. Highly recommended 🙏

The staff were very friendly, and the food was excellent. The menu changes each night, and they take allergies seriously, adapting the dishes that are available. Breakfast includes homemade cakes, and the cleanliness was excellent. A great experience.

We came across “al poggio” by chance, after a lovely day in the snow in the Apennines, when we looked for somewhere to stay at the last minute. From the outside, the place doesn’t do itself justice. The service was excellent, and the staff were kind and helpful. Since my son has celiac disease, we expected just a few plain options, but we had a wonderful dinner, with a separate gluten-free menu and homemade bread. Breakfast had a fantastic spread of homemade gluten-free cakes. We were very happy with our short stay and will make sure to come back. Well done!
