Hotel San Marco Sestola

Right in the heart of Sestola, the hotel made a great base for enjoying the mountains, whether heading to the winter sports slopes or simply relaxing. We found it well suited to a family holiday, too. The wellness center met the standards I’d expect from a good four-star hotel, the cuisine was excellent, and the service stood out. The staff were professional while still making us feel welcome and at ease.

The best part of having our wedding at Grande Albergo San Marco was how Gerardo and the staff looked after us around the clock. We had the hotel for our families, friends, and ourselves for more than five days, and guests of every age were happy. The chefs and staff kept the wonderful food and drinks coming throughout the celebration. We held the ceremony at Sestola castle, where the museum of old musical instruments dating back to the 18th century was a lovely addition for many of us who are involved in music. The reception was at the hotel, built in the 1920s, which helped inspire our Roaring 20s theme. Bratislava Hot Serenaders, an amazing 1920s Slovak band, played while we all dressed up and danced all night. Guests came from more than 11 countries, and though the trip was long for many, it was absolutely worth it. The day after the wedding, the owner surprised us with 30 vintage Porsche cars displayed outside. We love vintage cars and own a 1967 Beatle converted into a fun beach buggy, so that meant a lot to us.
