For what I paid, the value was disappointing. The rate was over $340 a night, and I expected a comfortable bed and a quieter stay based on how the property is presented. I also noticed that the rooms were listed for half what I paid that night. The biggest issue was the mattress in 702. Reviews had mentioned uncomfortable beds, and I hoped they were exaggerating, but it was terribly uncomfortable. I mentioned it after the first night, and I think they added another topper, yet it still felt extremely uncomfortable. Street noise carries into the room. People hanging around late or playing music are easy to hear, and there was a tent and DJ setup down the block during my stay, so it wasn't peaceful at all. The hotel can't control the music, but better windows could help. The room itself was clean, updated, and a good size for two people with luggage and extra space. Check-in was easy, although a little inconvenient, at the main hotel down the block. It was my first time in the area, and I didn't understand the layout; the window looked out onto scrappy-looking buildings across the street, like the less cared-for back side of town. A view toward Baia del Silenzio would have been better. If the mattress and noise don't bother you, it's a decent-sized hotel room. But please, an easy fix would be to put in a new mattress.

We loved the spacious room, the big double bed, and the sea view, and really appreciated the staff giving us that room. But the mattress felt like a piece of wood, and we both woke with sore backs. It's a shame, since everything else was great, but such a cheap, uncomfortable mattress doesn't suit the place. We stayed one night. If we were staying longer, we'd choose another hotel, because a good night's sleep matters more to us than the view and the space. I think the team should replace the mattress so the stay can be truly flawless.

We really enjoyed our two nights in Sestri Levante. Our room, 702, was on the first floor and looked out toward the beach. It had everything we needed, with a large comfortable bed, a nice bathroom and shower, and other amenities. This section is about 150 feet from the main hotel, which is beautiful as well. We went there for breakfast and to enjoy both that beach and the larger one. Monterosso is just a 20-minute train ride away and was significantly less crowded. The staff were friendly and helpful.

The suites were modern, spotless, and spacious, right on the beachfront. We had a kitchenette, sink, coffee machine, and even wine glasses for a balcony vino. The bathrooms were great and the shower was wonderful. Staff were very friendly and went out of their way to help while things were winding down for the town. One little thing for next time: a wine bottle opener in the room. Grazie Mille!

We had the penthouse suite, but smoke from the nearby restaurant filled the room. The manager immediately understood what I meant and offered us another room for the night. The air intake in the building needs fixing. Restaurant kitchen gases were getting into the room, which felt unsafe.
