Hotel Biancaneve

The ski room was cramped, with barely space for a few guests' equipment, and looked like it hadn't been updated in decades. Breakfast was poor too, with a small selection of low-quality food that left me hungry for the slopes. The rooms at Hotel Biancaneve in Sestriere were dated, cramped, and badly maintained, well below what I'd expect even from a budget hotel. Most frustratingly, there was no warm water. The hotel uses a 50L boiler that runs out almost straight away, so after a day skiing, getting a proper shower was out of the question. This place needs renovations and better management. I'd recommend staying elsewhere if you can.

The room was OK, especially if you like being able to use the toilet and shower at the same time! The food's on a downhill track, and while I know you don't pay a lot, they really take the biscuit. I'm eating out tomorrow. They need to improve the food, cut down on waste, and keep their customers. Just a suggestion. They don't understand vegetarians at all, it's like living in the dark ages. Worst.

We were comfortable in the basic, warm rooms, which had a TV in Italian only and an ensuite shower and toilet. Everything was spotless throughout our stay. The staff were really friendly and accommodating, and the food was good and plentiful. It's about a 10-minute walk to the main slopes. There’s a ski locker room at the hotel, plus an arrangement with a local ski hire shop for lockers near the slope. A great little place for our skiing holiday. Recommended.

The food was fresh and there was plenty of choice. We didn't have a bad meal and certainly never went hungry. Rooms are a bit compact, but have everything you need and suit the building's style. The bar has a relaxed, friendly feel, and the staff were amazing, especially the head waiter. Can't fault the place and would happily stay again. Thanks!
