The main difficulty was getting parked. It took us two hours to find a space, and even the directions from the owners beforehand didn't make it easy. You can't reach the house by your own car because traffic is blocked in the city centre, apart from taxis, residents and others allowed through. The historic house is well kept and right in the heart of the city, with clean, pleasant rooms and very helpful staff.

The room was small but cozy, and the view over Siena's old rooftops and some monuments felt magical. Clean, good location, and breakfast was sufficient.

The location is the one good thing: it's just steps from the centre and the town's other amenities. The photos on Booking.com and other sites don't look like the place in reality. Breakfast was disappointing and bland, and there was no espresso, only coffee made in a moka pot that seems designed for foreigners. The rooms were spotless, though they only empty the bins when they're overflowing. The bathroom is run-down, and the shower is dangerous because you could slip. The front door is broken and takes a lot of force to open, which would be harder for an elderly person than for someone a little younger.

Our split-level family room was very nice, and the host kindly gave us all the information we needed for the stay. It's a charming, well-designed B&B in the historic centre. Breakfast had plenty of variety, with fresh coffee made in a moka pot. Very good value.

A clean, nice room in an apartment right in the centre, with lots of restaurants nearby for dinner. We had a great time.
