A car is a must if you want to make the most of your visit here. This is a real farmhouse, not somewhere posh or fancy, and you’ll hear the animals rather than find total silence. That’s part of its charm for me. There are so many animal friends around, especially horses, dogs, cats, chickens, and others. The owner and the ladies serving breakfast are incredibly warm. If you’re after an authentic farm family atmosphere, this place could become your own little sanctuary, like it has for me.

Elena was so helpful while we were there. She suggested a wonderful place for dinner and helped us call a taxi into town. The property is a great choice if you love animals: friendly, well-behaved dogs wander around, and one greeted us at the door in the morning before joining our walk to breakfast. There are horses and ponies too. Highly recommend staying here!

There’s plenty for children to enjoy here, from the animals and large yard to the outdoor pool and all the space to explore. The setting near a forest is beautiful, around a 20-minute drive from Siena’s center. Our room was clean and spacious, fine but not luxurious. Breakfast is the only meal served, so for anything else you’ll need to go into town or stop at a market.

The high vantage point gives you a great view over Siena. There’s a lovely play park, space to relax, a roomy lounge, and a smoking area. The meals were good too. Amazing.

Coffee the dog was a favorite, and we loved every day of our stay!
