There are plenty of restaurants and services nearby, and the free coffee machine in the lobby is handy for a quick caffeine fix. For a proper espresso, you’ll probably want to head out later. WiFi was fine for ordinary remote work, and there’s a laundry downstairs that we didn’t use. We saw plenty of long-term guests coming and going, so that seems to be an option too. We were a family of four on a budget road trip around Europe, and this was a good find. The room was spacious, clean, and well furnished, with housewares for breakfast or a light dinner. We only used the microwave, not the stovetop. The bathroom and parking were good too, and the old town is within “walking” distance. Just be aware that walking into town may not be easy, since the sidewalks are poor at best. Rooms facing the intersection may also get morning noise. It’s not glamorous, but I’d recommend it if you want a roomy place in a decent location.

The heating worked really well. We came at the end of December and could keep the room at 24 degrees or more day and night. The rooms felt quite old, with cracked or moisture-swollen patches on the walls, a door that looked like it had been forced with a crowbar, and visible cables that seemed to have been added later. The shower was the worst part: almost no pressure, constantly changing temperature, and late at night it cooled down after about 15 minutes. The dishes were dirty, and there was no daily cleaning or trash collection. We had to carry the rubbish to a street bin a few minutes away.

Staff were friendly and the service was nice. The apartment was clean and suited our family with kids. There’s free parking, and Siena is about a 10-minute drive away. Just remember to check in before 7 pm.

The place was quiet and really spacious, and the staff were nice and very helpful. We had a good stay at this aparthotel.
