The flashing smoke detector light was the one thing that made it hard to sleep. I ended up needing a sleep mask. Our room had a balcony and lovely sunset views. It was a little dated and tired, like the rest of the hotel, but clean, with a nice bathroom. Breakfast had a generous and varied selection of cold items, plus coffee made however you wanted. The staff were friendly and helpful, especially the day manager.

The breakfast downstairs was good, and the hotel is close to all the Siena attractions. Anyone with a physical disability might find it difficult.

The staff were very kind, and the view from room 51 was lovely. But the noise outside went on until 5:00 in the morning, and it was impossible to sleep. I've never experienced that in 30 years of travelling.

The employees were quite nice, and the service and food were alright. The view was pretty good too, and the location is reasonably good for being in the center. The rooms seemed unsanitary, though. The shower flooded the whole bathroom, the bed sheets felt thinner than the toilet paper, and the toilet paper wasn't great either. The place was moderately dirty. The elevator was tiny and didn't seem very up to date.

Breakfast had plenty of good choices, and coffee and cappuccino were made to order. The front desk staff were friendly and helpful, and I'd stay here again. We spent two nights here, close to the Duomo and lots of other places. Our room had a lovely balcony, the beds were comfortable, and the air conditioning worked great. The bathroom is compact, but that's part of the charm of an older building, right?
