The host took us through the amazing caves for about 15 minutes while we bought some wine at the wine bar. It was a truly incredible experience, and we were able to video it. They weren't holding wine tastings, I believe because they were short staffed. Our room looked out over the back of the duomo and was clean and very nice, right in the middle of everything. I loved getting up early to walk around before the crowds arrived. The restaurant out front seems to close early during the week, so there wasn't much noise at night. We slept wonderfully in the bed without really needing to close the windows. Siena can be sleepy in some areas, and it rained one night, but we still had a wonderful time.

The room we had, Santa Caterina, was spotless and had a gorgeous view. You're right in the city center, so everything is walkable, and it's where you'll want to spend your time anyway. The Duomo is just outside the front door. Breakfast is across the square, and you can taste wine right next door to that. The staff were wonderful, the best we've experienced at any hotel. Every euro was worth it, and we'll absolutely be back. This is the perfect place to stay in Siena.

We had the Duomo right outside our room, and the location couldn't have been better. The lovely room where breakfast was served was beautiful, and the breakfast itself was first class. Andrea brought us cappuccino every morning, and the whole staff was incredibly hospitable. What a magical town. We'll go back!

The service was excellent, and the wines were excellent too. From the moment we walked in, the shop felt like home, and the manager was so sweet and nice. We got to sit in a tunnel where the pope would pass through, and ordering and shipping wine back to the States was all handled with great service. They were very knowledgeable, and I'd definitely go again. We also met Giovanni, the olive oil maker, who even signed the bottles we bought. We just stumbled across the place randomly, and I'm so glad we did. I'd recommend it 100%.

We could see the cathedral straight across the Piazza from our windows. The residence has a lot of history and puts you right in the heart of the city. A great place to stay.
