La Casa di Antonella

My room had frescoes on the ceiling, and this was my favorite place I've stayed so far on the trip. It's a cozy little spot, though keep in mind there are a few flights of stairs to get up. The owner was very nice, and breakfast the next morning was a lovely spread. He even cooked eggs for me. The water pressure was decent, and there were hair dryers to use.

Fabrizio was a great host during our two nights here. He suggested two restaurants, and both served some of the best food we had on our two-week trip. The breakfast looked amazing, but I was coming and going each morning, so I didn't get to try it. We could leave our bags early and after checkout, which was handy. I'd easily stay here again.

Fabrizio is a very nice host, and the rooms were clean and pleasant. The location is right in the middle of Siena. It was 40 degrees outside during our stay, though, and the ceiling fan couldn't provide enough cooling. It should be fine again once temperatures are back to normal.

The location is really good, practically in the center of the Old Town, and I can see this being a great spot for younger people. But I'm older and a bit spoiled, LOL. We didn't realize when booking that it was on the third floor with no elevator, or that it was more of a B&B with four rooms sharing two bathrooms. There was no air conditioning either, just ceiling fans. That setup wasn't right for us.
