Palazzo De' Vecchi

Francesca was a wonderful host, warmly welcoming us and making sure we had everything we needed. Her restaurant suggestions were spot on, and her enthusiasm for Siena’s history brought the city to life for us. The building has been beautifully restored, keeping its historic charm while adding modern comforts. Its location in the heart of Siena made it easy to explore the city’s history and culture. This was a special stay, and we left enriched by the experience and the hosts’ warmth. We can’t wait to return!

Francesca and Flaviano were the best hosts, and the breakfast spread they prepare was fit for royalty. Their building dates back to the 15th century and feels like a little castle, right in the heart of the ancient city. The location is amazing: we walked everywhere, including to the central plaza with all its restaurants and bars. The stay made our visit to Siena extraordinary. It was simply FANTASTIC! You can’t park at the hotel, so use Leonardo Car Valet and its wonderful owner, Mr Donato!

The owners clearly love sharing their beautiful, historic property with guests, and they’re passionate hosts. They’ve thought through every detail, making it a lovely place to recharge between exploring all that Siena has to offer. This is everything I’d hope for in a Siena stay, and I’d happily come back.

Every corner of this little town felt picturesque, with its medieval charm. The guesthouse itself was warm, welcoming and homey, right in the heart of Siena. I think it’s an old mansion, and breakfast is homemade and served each morning in a room that looks like a ballroom. I especially loved the cake and pudding 🍮, and the vegetables cooked until very tender, like something a mother might make at home, though that’s just my imagination. I’d love to go again.
