The views from Hotel Palazzo di Valli were breathtaking, and after a day out we could enjoy them with a glass or bottle of wine served outside. We stayed five nights in October 2025, and this was easily the best of our three weeks travelling through Italy. Giacomo welcomed us warmly when we arrived by taxi from the train station and made us feel at home. Everything ran efficiently, from check-in to daily room service and the lovely breakfast each morning. The rooms were comfortable and beautifully decorated, and the cappuccino at breakfast was the best of our whole trip. The hotel is outside Siena's walls, but the city center is an easy bus ride away. You can catch the bus on the street by the driveway. Lorenzo was very nice and helpful too. When we left, Giacomo called a taxi to take us back to the station. We wouldn't have been disappointed staying here, and we're grateful to Giacomo and Lorenzo for a fantastic visit. Patricia & Rosendo Flores

Breakfast was fresh and delicious every morning, and it was nice to have everything we needed there instead of going out to find somewhere to eat. The 17th-century villa has old Italian charm, while still feeling clean and comfortable, and the views were some of the best we saw in Tuscany. From the moment we arrived at Hotel Palazzo di Valli, one of the owners, Giacomo, welcomed us so warmly that we felt at home. He checked us in, explained what we needed to know, and helped plan a day trip to San Gimignano, Volterra, and Monteriggioni. His suggestions were spot-on and made our time in Tuscany unforgettable. The villa is just outside Siena's Roman gate, and you can reach the city walls with a 10-minute walk. Our room had a magnificent view over Tuscany, and the accommodations were comfortable. Breakfast was nice, and the employees were helpful and informative. One thing to watch for if you arrive by car is the gateway, which was built for carriages. During busy season, book dinner in town ahead of time.

We made a booking mistake because of an error in the booking system and had the wrong date, so we couldn't spend the two nights we had planned here. The policy didn't allow free cancellations and it was our mistake, but the hotel kindly cancelled without charging us. Giacomo was very friendly and helpful, even offering other dates that unfortunately didn't work for us. If we return to Siena, we'd definitely book here.

We were only passing through Siena for a day, but next time we'd stay longer. It takes about 15 minutes to walk to the city center. The rooms were beautiful, the hotel has a lovely charm, and the terrace is incredibly peaceful, with a beautiful view over Tuscany. Breakfast was balanced and included in the room price, which was good value. Parking was available too. Best of all were the two colleagues at reception: real Italians, very friendly, fluent in English, cultured, and extremely helpful. Thanks for such good service.
