We were visiting Siena for the Palio and stayed at Villa Santa Chiara, just outside the city walls among lovely grounds and an olive grove. It was an easy walk into town, and the apartment felt like a beautiful Tuscan world of its own, with spectacular views. The hosts were generous and incredibly helpful the whole time. They arranged some restaurant bookings and kept us informed. When rain postponed the Palio for a day, they were gracious again and helped us work around the change. There was lovely food and wine waiting on the table when we arrived. Be sure to take some of their own olive oil home. Thanks A& M for such a great time. I’d definitely stay again.

We’re a group of 12 adults and 4 kids, and rented the whole villa. It’s hard to imagine a more special place, and we’re so glad we still have a week left. The owners are among the friendliest and most helpful people we’ve met. They arranged a chef for private cooking classes and dinners, ordered a couple of cases of wine for us, and connected us with a walking tour guide. That guide also connected us with driving tours and wine tastings. We can’t wait to visit their cousin’s vineyard. More to come.

We stayed almost a week and had a great time. The views were beautiful! I only got to use the sauna and hot tub once, though, because we were so tired from touring.

Villa Santa Chiara is a comfortable, relaxing base for a Siena visit. The apartments sit on a hill just beyond the old city, with acres of olive trees, gardens, and beautiful views of the city walls. Claudia offers tours in both Siena and Florence, and the hospitality is professional. I’d highly recommend staying here.

The owners were courteous and professional, adding to the beauty of the place. The rooms are elegant and comfortable, and the buildings and gardens are well cared for. There’s also a huge pool with a panoramic view. The agriturismo feels like a real paradise, with breathtaking views over Siena. A wonderful experience, and highly recommended for anyone visiting the city. August 2017
