Vittoria was kind and helpful, and the greenery around Villa Socini makes it feel so peaceful. The villa’s lovely old Tuscan style helped us relax right away. It was clean and comfortable, and we slept well in the quiet at night. The city center is close enough to reach easily, while the place itself is just outside the busy area. I’d happily stay again and recommend it to anyone looking for a calm, authentic place.

We arrived by train and got to Villa Socini by taking the escalators in the shopping center all the way up four flights, then walking about 200 meters. It’s opposite one of the main gates, with easy access to walled Siena, but the location is quiet. It was our first visit to Siena, and we weren’t disappointed.

Everything was easy to reach on foot from this very central location. The hostess was so friendly, and our room was beautiful and clean.

We had a phenomenal view and were ideally placed to get to Siena’s old town, right across the road. The train station and buses were close by too. Vittoria was so welcoming and lovely. Our room was spacious and comfortable, with the bathroom right next to it. Even though we were near a busy road, there wasn’t any noise problem.

We stayed four nights during Palio and, even without air conditioning, managed with the fan and by positioning the window carefully. One afternoon a torrential thunderstorm came through. Listening to and smelling the Tuscan rain, with the breeze coming through the oversized open shutters in Salotto Room, was magical. Villa Socini was built in 1901 in Liberty, the Italian Art Nouveau style. The interior is charming and well kept, and the shared living room, dining room, kitchen, and bathrooms were spacious and comfortable. We had a small misunderstanding with Vittoria at first, but she responded quickly and made everything just right.
