Residence Schnatzhof

The apartment was spotless, spacious, and had a fully equipped kitchen with everything we needed: a kettle, four-burner electric hob, oven, fridge with freezer compartment, dishwasher, and plenty of knives and cutlery. The garden is beautiful and large, and there’s a nice swimming pool. The owners were very friendly and gave us useful tips for exploring the area. We appreciated how close the complex is to the center of Schlanders: three minutes on foot to a supermarket, five to restaurants, and ten to the train station. The free Südtirol-Guestcard lets you travel by public transport to Merano or Bolzano at no cost.

The hosts were friendly, and the place had a relaxed feel. The pool area was clean and well looked after, as was the apartment. It was modern and inviting, with cleanliness and order clearly a priority. One thing to keep in mind: taller people may find the bathtub awkward, since it sits under the sloping roof.

The apartment comfortably fits four and has what a family needs. There’s a lovely, well-kept garden, a large unheated pool, plenty of parking, and fresh eggs available on site. The hosts are warm and welcoming. Breakfast isn’t provided, but shops, restaurants, ice cream places, a supermarket, and a small pedestrian area are all a five-minute walk away. It’s right in the heart of Schlanders, yet still a quiet place to relax among the beautiful Vinschgau Valley mountains. What more could you want for a holiday?

The staff helped us with whatever they could, including letting us do laundry, which felt like a real luxury while hiking. The service was excellent. Thanks so much, we’d love to return.
