A lovely home, and the price was the best.

The mountain air felt like a balm, and the dry daytime warmth was lovely. We slept under the covers, and the temperatures were heavenly. The garden was a real treat, with tidy planting, sun and shade through the day, and a secure fence that worked well for our dog. We also appreciated being able to cool off in the well-kept above-ground pool whenever we wanted. We stayed for a week in July with our dog. The house was spacious, clean, welcoming, and practical. Nearby, the few residents take meticulous care of the mountain. There are plenty of refuges, including Orecchiella Park, where the welcome center has a place to enjoy lunch. A little farther along, Miramonti refuge is worth a look for aperitifs or dinner. The staff there were warm and friendly, and definitely not ordinary.

The mild temperatures gave us a chance to catch our breath during that scorching summer. We loved the place, and the house is gorgeous, a real oasis of peace. Luca, the owner, was extremely kind and always available.
