Scirocco House

We could walk to most of the places we wanted to see, so the location suited us well. Scirocco House felt even more spacious and homey in person than it looked in the photos, with everything we needed and then some. Our host made things easy from the start, arranged a parking spot for us, and stayed available on WhatsApp for our random questions and restaurant tips. We were really glad we chose it for our three nights in Palermo.

The owner is friendly, attentive, and knows what she’s doing. Oxana’s place is in a handy spot for the main sights, on central Via Maqueda and Viale Libertà. It’s bright and roomy, with a classic style that doesn’t feel too heavy. The bedrooms are large, both bathrooms work well and have bidets, and the apartment was clean and warm enough. There’s a small balcony off the living room and a covered veranda with a washing machine off the kitchen. I’d update the bathroom fixtures, especially the bidet and shower, but I’d definitely come back.

The owner was friendly and very helpful. This roomy, well-equipped apartment is right in the city center, on the seventh floor. There are two small elevators, and the building entrance is closed at night, which made it feel secure.

Oksana 🇺🇦 and her parents were such warm, thoughtful hosts. We had a wonderful stay and would definitely return. The apartment is quiet, elegant, spotless, and a generous 140 square meters, on the seventh and top floor of a beautiful building. There are two elevators, one reserved for condominium members. The location made it easy to explore the center on foot: Teatro Massimo and Politeama are about five minutes away, Teatro Bellini and Quattro Canti about ten. Via Macqueda and Via Vittorio Emanuele are just steps away. Inside, there’s a huge parquet living room, a dining room with two French windows and a glimpse of the sea, a large kitchen with a veranda, coffee maker, microwave, and washing machine, plus two lovely double bedrooms. The BLUE bedroom has its own bathroom, and the Wi-Fi worked perfectly. If you have a car, you can park free under the building or nearby in the blue spaces from 8 p.m. to 8 a.m., and from 2 to 4 p.m. Otherwise it’s €1 an hour, still far cheaper than the nearby garages. A wonderful stay in a remarkable city. Highly recommended, 10 out of 10!
