The restaurant was a real highlight, with polished, delicious food and service that was more than perfect. The hibou was excellent at both dinner and breakfast. The hotel itself has plenty of charm, set in a house dating from 1460, and the rooms are roomy and nicely decorated. They could use a bit of refreshing, though. Hotel service was good too.

The town didn't offer much to do, so we had to drive a fair distance during the day to find something interesting beyond the resort. After four nights here for our honeymoon, I wouldn't recommend a stay. Nearby there are more interesting and welcoming places. The rooms were described as quiet and soundproof, but every one is a connecting room, with just a thin wooden door between them. We had to argue with the receptionist to move, and at least avoid being between two families with young children. The receptionist was unfriendly and couldn't suggest somewhere to eat or help with our bags. Breakfast was decent, but dinner at the restaurant wasn't worth the price. The staff/owner's reply below pretty much proves my point 👇🏻

After a long drive, we arrived to a huge wedding in full Euro Pop party mode. Sitting by the pool called for ear defenders, and when I asked for a beer, I was told, “No service .. busy setting up dinner”!!! The place is tumbling down and a million miles from the pictures. Staff were sullen, there was no parking, and the facilities were poor.

The surroundings are beautiful, and there’s a nice pool and a great restaurant. One thing to know: the place has a big dog that roams freely without a muzzle. The woman managing the property wasn't very friendly either. Even so, it's a lovely spot for a weekend escape, with walks in the nearby area.

Right in the heart of rice country and not too far from Milan, this is a beautiful hotel in a stunning setting. The hosts were lovely, and I had a great time. It would also make a great wedding venue. You'll be well pampered 👍❤️. I'll be back as soon as I can.
