I didn't stay overnight, but the staff I met were gentle and very professional. The location is beautiful, just a few feet from the sea.

The entertainment, bar, and staff were magnificent, all of them. The beach and pool were clean, comfortable, and well maintained. The food had variety, but didn't feel like four-star quality. Our room had a chest, and the mattress creaked along with my bones. The pillows were empty and barely felt like pillows. Water for washing was intermittent, and the toilet or bidet was often missing. That's really uncomfortable with a three-year-old. The glass sink sits in a 50x50 shower where even Tom Thumb would struggle to wash. The low areas are in the photo I attached, and they're not shown on the official website. The rooms are very small, with nowhere to unpack suitcases.

The food was very good, with particular care for children, and the staff were extremely helpful. The entertainment team was kind and discreet, without being too intrusive. The beach was close and clean, and the pool area was clean too. Those were the bright spots, but I wouldn't come back, mainly because the room wasn't cleaned thoroughly. I went in expecting more from a four-star hotel, especially as someone who has traveled a lot. The room was tiny and dusty, and the towel service was poor. They took away both used and clean towels without replacing them. Three of us spent a day with only a bidet towel and a hand towel, even after reminding them. There was a bathroom leak reported at 3:00 PM. By 9:00 PM it was worse after the repair, so it had to be fixed again between 10:00 PM and 11:00 PM. It was the last week of the season, and because there was space, we asked for an upgrade. Three people and our luggage could barely move around the room. Despite the problems, we were only offered an upgrade if we paid the exchange fee. The shower was very old, had no shelf for shower gel or anything else, and had a dirty, moldy curtain peeling at the top. The bathroom door wouldn't close, the curved mirror distorted the image, and we even had to ask for toilet paper because it hadn't been replenished. The beds creaked even when touched. People who return probably didn't stay in a room like ours.

We found this hotel by chance, and it turned out to be a great fit for me, since I look for quiet and good food on holiday. I met many families who have been coming back for years, which says something. I'd recommend it, though four stars seem too many for a property this dated. The food was very good, but the menu changed after a week. For a two-week stay like mine, a two-week menu would make more sense. Our triple room was split into two rooms and had two bathrooms, so there was plenty of space. The downside was the noisy freight elevator nearby, starting at 5:30 in the morning. The waiters were kind and smiling, if a little eager to clear dirty dishes. The entertainers were friendly and helpful, and the daytime activities for adults were well organized. The evening shows could use a little work, especially the acting and cabaret, and they could turn down the microphones. The hotel is right on the seafront, with a sandy beach, shallow water for many meters, and two large pools. Silvi Marina is a sleepy town with few people and not many attractions.
