Mercedes paid close attention to what we wanted for breakfast, and it was really good. The house and rooms are lovely, and our room was comfortable. There’s a pretty terrace with tables to sit at, plus free parking on the property. You can walk to the beach. In the evening, mosquitoes can be a problem, though there are candles meant to keep them away.

On our first trip to Sardinia, and our first time using Airbnb, my girlfriend and I had the best experience we’ve ever had. Mercedes made us feel right at home. She’s a fantastic, experienced host, always ready with plenty of ideas for day trips, dinner, or even discoteka. Every suggestion suited what we were after. Thanks for everything, Mercedes! If you ever make it to New York, I owe you a ride in my Lamborghini 😜

Breakfast on the veranda came with a lovely view and plenty to eat, including homemade marmalade and pecorino cream made from local cheese. The room was spacious, clean, and comfortable, and the garden outside was full of flowers and trees. From the house you can see the coastline around Siniscola and Caletta. Mercedes and Paolo were warm, welcoming hosts who were always up for an interesting conversation and made a real effort to make Villa Mercedes feel like home. It’s a great base for exploring the Orosei Gulf and the beautiful beaches along Sardegna’s east coast.

You really have to stay in their lovely house to understand the atmosphere Mercedes and Paolo create. We arrived as guests and left as friends. I could list all the good things we experienced, but I still couldn’t capture what it feels like to be there.
