Hotel VelaSole

The staff were charming, kind, and so helpful. We stopped here to break up the drive from Cagliari to the Olbia ferries. The hotel itself is a bit old, and the air conditioning is incredibly noisy, but the quiet was amazing and the night skies were incredible. Breakfast is basic, though the homegrown fruit is fantastic. They also had hot croissants and fresh orange juice. We enjoyed delicious figs and pears straight from their garden. There’s a water dispenser and an ice dispenser, plus a lovely shared garden with a freezer and tables for eating outside. I travel a lot, and it reminded me of the family hotels along Rimini’s riviera. I’d recommend it for families and older people. La Caletta is less than ten minutes away, with plenty of restaurants, souvenir shops, pubs, fairs, and exhibitions of traditional masks.

A great base for exploring the nearby towns and beaches. The rooms are very clean and comfortable, and the people working here are lovely. Definitely recommend it.

Everything was perfect. The hygiene was at the highest level, the product was exactly what I wanted, and Mr Giovanni provided outstanding service. The customer care was excellent, highly recommend 👌

Great value, simple and comfortable, and relaxing too. The location is handy for reaching lots of wonderful beaches in just a few minutes by car or bicycle, and pets are welcome, which isn’t that common. The management is brand new, and the two guys are lovely. We were able to order a fantastic fish dinner in the morning, and Simone made exactly what we wanted: “fregola” (a typical Sardinian pasta, see image) and fresh grilled fish. It was even better than we expected. The pizzas are gorgeous too, and the prices are unbelievable. We only spent two days here, but we’ll definitely be back next year.
