The view at Nioelo is breathtaking, and the hosts are friendly and welcoming. Set in the peaceful Siniscola countryside, the apartments are well cared for, clean, and stocked with what you need to feel at home. It’s quiet there, but also well placed for reaching some of the area’s prettiest beaches. A perfect stay for a special vacation. Highly recommended!

The rooms were so clean, honestly clean enough that we could eat off the floor, and there was everything we needed inside. We spent 10 wonderful days here. The setting is fantastic, surrounded by nature, with an amazing pool, and it’s just a few kilometers from the most beautiful beaches. The girls who welcomed us were super nice and always reachable on WhatsApp if we needed anything. For a peaceful break, I’d stay here again. Thanks for everything, Veronica and Massimo.

The countryside setting is lovely, tucked into the mountains where the only sound is sheep bells, and the accommodation itself was quite good and especially clean. Sadly, that’s about where the good parts ended for us. We stayed June 17-22, 2025. Almost the whole complex was empty, apart from our family of four and a friendly Dutch couple. The drive to Nioleu was already worrying: a very dusty dirt road with sharp stones, narrow enough for only one lane. The welcome lifted our spirits a little. The administrators seemed very nice, funny, and helpful at first. But once we got into the apartment, we found the toilet door wouldn’t lock or even close. We reported it and were told it would be fixed, but it stayed that way for our whole stay, despite being a simple repair. Since we were one family, we managed. The TV also didn’t work. We reported that too; an attempted fix failed, and we were told there was a problem with the main cable, so the TVs in all apartments were out. It was repaired after two days, basically the first and last request that was actually handled. The fault probably existed before we arrived. Internet across the property was very unstable, with frequent outages, so we used a lot of mobile data. There was a notice in the apartment saying the water wasn’t drinkable, but nobody told us. We cooked and brushed our teeth with bottled water. In the end, we were told the water supposedly wasn’t harmful, but that drinking it wasn’t recommended. The electric car charger was another major problem. We have an electric car, and being able to charge for free during sunny daytime hours was one of the main reasons we chose Nioleo. On site, we learned this was only possible from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., when we were usually away. We changed our plans to try to charge during that window, but the chargers were broken. They kept promising to fix them, yet nothing happened and they didn’t seem concerned. This caused us considerable difficulty as well as financial and logistical strain. Our complaints seemed to get no attention, and nobody showed much interest or helped us sort them out. The sofa bed in the living room was completely unsuitable for an adult. I slept for about an hour the first night because the frame dug into my back. I was exhausted and in pain. The next day, I asked the children to make room for me in their bed, and I slept there with them, three of us together. My wife slept on the sofa without making it up, just so she could get some rest. We raised the problem and were promised a solution, but once again nothing came of it. 😪 Then came checkout, which was set at an inexplicably early 9:30. We got up before 6 a.m. to clean and move out, but at 9:30 nobody was at reception. We called the mobile number about 50 times, sent countless WhatsApp and text messages, and searched for another contact. It was 33 degrees outside, and we had a 1,500 km drive ahead. Our Dutch neighbors arrived at noon. We explained what was happening, and they helped us reach the manager from their phone. At 1 p.m., we finally got one message saying his car had broken down. He hadn’t called or answered our messages, and we had waited almost four hours for someone to return our €150 deposit. If our ferry had left earlier and couldn’t wait for us, we might never have seen that money again. The whole thing left us feeling as if it was intentional, and spoiled the end of an otherwise beautiful holiday in Sardinia. I’m grateful to our Dutch neighbors, who cared about what was happening to us and helped so much. It’s a real shame this beautiful place doesn’t offer a level of service worthy of the price or pay proper attention to its guests’ needs.
