The location is very central. Reception is in a different building, and staff then take you to your room. We stayed in a double room with a bathroom, and everything was fine. The staff were friendly, but didn’t speak English, so we used Google Translate. Breakfast was included and served at a nearby cafe.

Everything was within walking distance, since it’s in the city center, with all the amenities and landmarks close by. There was no parking or elevator, and self check-in was rather challenging. Self check-in is a great option for guests, but it should be really easy to manage. Otherwise, the room was fully equipped and beautifully decorated.

We used the breakfast vouchers and would recommend them. Just around the corner, breakfast lets you choose two drinks and a sweet. Parking took some figuring out: we left the car at Parcheggio della Marina for 20 euros a night, but you have to ask for the day ticket because the meter doesn't offer it. From there, the neocropolis is about a 30-minute walk. Our family room was spacious and clean, and Ortigia's lovely streets were right outside, with plenty of dinner spots and places for ice cream. Even though the hotel is central, we didn't hear street noise at night.

What we got was nothing like the listing. They put us in a dirty, run-down building down the street with no Wi-Fi, then kept lying to us. When we asked for a refund, they spoke to us nastily. Stay away.
