We really enjoyed our stay, and the bed was comfy. The room was beautifully decorated, spacious, and clean, with a balcony, good internet, and a welcome of complimentary local drinks and chocolate. The kitchen is well equipped, the toiletries were nice and ecological, and our hosts were friendly and service-minded. Street noise was very low, but a few windows lacked blackout curtains, so the hosts provided sleep masks and ear plugs. The shower could be improved with a wall-mounted faucet.

We stayed in the Remington suite over Easter, and this easily became our favourite place in Sicily. The building's history and magnificent architecture are paired with modern touches and quirky decor. The owners' restoration shows real care and meticulous attention to detail. Elio and Fausta gave us the warmest welcome, and they were genuine, friendly, perfect hosts. Thank you for the Easter gift.

The breakfast did not disappoint, and we loved the interesting decor in both the breakfast room and the library. We also really enjoyed our stay in the beautiful, lovingly refurbished old building, with its lovely design details. The flat is centrally located on a bustling street in Ortigia, yet quiet inside, and the owners were welcoming and helpful. One small improvement would have been air conditioning in the flat's small bedroom. Google unfortunately won't let me upload the breakfast and breakfast room video I made.

The rooms are gorgeous and roomy, and the shared areas are just as lovely. My partner and I are book lovers, so finding this place made us so excited. Fausta & Elio have been incredibly kind, and you can see the thought they’ve put into every detail. I’m only halfway through our stay and already want to recommend it to everyone. I’ve never stayed anywhere more beautiful. Thank you so much x

The rooms are comfortable, with good beds and clean bathrooms, and each morning brought a specially put-together breakfast. What stayed with me most, though, was how personal Casa Verbavolant feels. Books are everywhere, including books the hosts edited, alongside typewriters and cozy, thoughtful art. It feels like every space was chosen with care, and the hosts are warm, genuine people who seem to love what they do. Being there made me happy, like having a cup of hot chocolate. I enjoyed reading about how they started the place and how they encourage guests to read and learn more about Siracusa. It’s much more than a pretty house, and I’d love to return and spend time soaking it all in. If little details and real connection matter to you, this is a lovely place to stay.
