B&B MarLove Siracusa

Breakfast was a treat, with local and homemade options that showed off the region’s rich food traditions. Giulia was a wonderful hostess and was there for anything we needed. The rooms were spotless, beautifully decorated, and had all the modern amenities you could need. Each morning began with a stunning view of the Mediterranean. The B&B is well placed for both Siracusa’s historic sites and its pristine beaches. From the moment I arrived, the warm hospitality made me feel at home, and the cozy atmosphere suited the beauty of Sicily perfectly. The staff went out of their way to make the stay perfect, with excellent dining and sightseeing recommendations. Mar Love B&B gave me an unforgettable mix of comfort, elegance, and exceptional service. I highly recommend this gem for a stay while exploring Sicily.

I was lucky to get a private parking space, and the pleasant staff let me check in long before the scheduled time. The apartments' biggest advantage is the sea view, an incredible sight in Syracuse! A few things were less than ideal, though they didn't spoil my holiday: the bathroom wasn't the cleanest, the shower drain was clogged, there was no liquid soap, and the refrigerator was noisy and ineffective. Still, that view from the window...)

The hosts were friendly, and the instructions for getting in were clear. They also had room for our two bicycles. The room was nice, with an ocean view. With the window open, the sound of the ocean is lovely, and with it closed, there's complete silence. Breakfast had coffee, juice, and a few simple items. Grazie.

The room was roomy, with a very comfortable bed and a lovely shower. There’s a place to swim right behind the B&B, though our room didn’t have an ocean view like some of the others. The area was quiet and parking was straightforward with a car. Ortigia is about a 20-minute walk, which may not suit everyone, but I liked the peaceful location. What I missed was the personal service I usually look for in a B&B. We got keys from a lock box without any explanation of what they opened, and had to message the host several times to ask about the swimming area, getting through the gate, and other basics. We weren’t given an introduction to Siracusa or a map, as hosts had done at the other B&Bs we stayed at in Sicily. It felt more like an impersonal Airbnb. The coffee and snacks were welcome, but breakfast was self-serve croissants, fruit, yogurt, and coffee rather than a breakfast service.
