La Maison

April 2024. The room was a lovely mix of vintage boudoir and a clean, modern bathroom, with Ortigia cosmetics as a nice touch. The whole stay was quiet and comfortable, and we slept peacefully. It would make a great romantic stay with your partner. There’s so much to take in here. The home feels ornate, distinctive, luxurious and rustic all at once, like a memorable Sicilian home away from home. The corridor and lounge details caught my eye as soon as we arrived, and the room made an impression too. The service was warm, polite and professional. The location is excellent, right above a lively street full of restaurants and cafes, with breathtaking landmarks just around the corner. I’m perhaps a little greedy, but I would have liked a bit more choice at breakfast. It was still lovely, and I understand that a small boutique hotel has its limits. That didn't take away from my stay, and I'd definitely come again.

For our honeymoon we booked ten nights in the room with a bath and balcony, and loved the privacy of having a bath with the balcony open and nobody able to see in. The room was lovely, very large and spacious. There are two rocky beaches nearby with beautiful clear blue water, and everything in Ortigia is within a ten-minute walk from this very central location. All the staff were lovely and very, very helpful. A 10/10 stay. We’ll definitely book here again if we visit the area.

Daniele and Ana were perfect hosts. They helped us feel at ease, took the time to explain Ortigia, and Ana made suggestions and booked dinner for us twice. They also checked that we were being looked after with parking. Our deluxe double had no bath, but it was a lovely room with a modern bathroom and a great shower. The accommodation is perfectly placed for exploring Ortigia. Don't forget the red hop on and off bus, it costs 10 euro. Thank you, Daniele and Ana.

You’re only meters from the busy streets of Ortigia, yet La Maison feels like a quiet retreat. The property is stunning, with thoughtfully furnished rooms and preserved vaulted frescoed ceilings. It’s ideally located for getting around and enjoying everything the island has to offer. A truly wonderful stay, and I’d certainly visit again.
