We were able to sleep with the window open, with no mosquitoes or street noise. The rooms were cozy and had what we needed, including air conditioning and a fridge. Each had an outdoor terrace with a clothes rack, and our room also opened onto part of the garden. The cleaning lady takes her work seriously. The patio was a lovely spot for breakfast, with delicious coffee and local food. The beach was about a 10-minute walk away. We chose Lido Fontane Bianche for its sunbeds, umbrellas and cleanliness. The sand was amazing and the water perfectly clear. My Sicily holiday was perfect, and B&B Villa Matari had a lot to do with that. Franco and Simona made us feel at home, were friendly and helpful, and gave us good recommendations. Franco even called to arrange a boat trip in Ortigia, Siracusa. He also has an agreement with some restaurants, so we got 10% off at La Cappanina (Fontane Bianche) and O'Scina (Ortigia Island). Both had very good food. I already miss the place and will definitely go back!

I needed a room at the last minute and came across this lovely B&B, which was so well run. The rooms were clean, breakfast was good and the service was excellent. All the staff were warm and kind, and Franco, the host, was an absolute gentleman. I’d highly recommend staying here if you’re in the area.
