BB Residenza Levante

A very nice, clean place in a perfect location.

The location was the only good thing. The rest was terrible. I had booked three nights but left after the first one. The musty smell hit as soon as I walked in and was also in the rooms. They were small and poorly furnished, with hardly any room to move. The dust was horrendous, and there was a dead mosquito on the wall. Turning on the noisy air conditioning meant needing earplugs. Breakfast came in individual portions, mottini.

They changed the linen every two days, which I appreciated. Breakfast was included in the price, but it was only pre-packaged snacks, and no expiration date was visible. That's a shame. The location is great, the prettiest spot in Ortigia. It's right on the seafront, with Cala Rossa beach just across the street and a couple of meters away. Still, the property is in an internal courtyard, so you can't see the sea from there. There was a musty smell, and the walls weren't insulated, so it was noisy. The air conditioning kept going off and was very loud. It needs improvement.

The kitchen is small, but it’s nicely set up and had what we needed as tourists. Our room was clean and very pleasant, with everything we needed and a lovely, practical bathroom. The shower tray does need some attention. The building is being renovated at the moment, though we still had a great stay. For the price, it was more than fine, and the owners were helpful and courteous. The location is both convenient and charming.
