Everything worth seeing is an easy walk from this lovely apartment, right in the center of Ortigia.

The owners were so friendly, and the place was great value with a fantastic location. We stayed five days and loved it.

The family running this B&B made us feel completely at home. They were thoughtful, easy to reach, and shared really useful suggestions for things to do nearby. The place also works well for families. It’s right in the middle of Ortigia, so we could soak up the lively atmosphere and wander the pretty streets in the evening, finding tucked-away spots and enjoying local food. The restored home has plenty of old-world character alongside modern comforts. It’s been renovated with care, and that attention shows as soon as you walk in. Our room was spacious, bright, and nicely furnished, a comfortable place to come back to after exploring. We’d happily recommend this B&B to anyone looking for a comfortable, authentic stay in this beautiful part of Sicily.

We found Casa Scinà an especially convenient base for exploring Syracuse’s historic center. It’s in the heart of Ortigia, only a few meters from Piazza Archimede, and we stayed four days. Parking is just a short walk away, and it may even be free if you get lucky. The apartment has a roomy bedroom with a double bed, plus a lovely large mezzanine with another double and a sofa bed. The spacious kitchen is fully equipped, and the entrance and living area are roomy too. There’s a chromotherapy shower, TV, Wi-Fi, effective air conditioning, and all the comforts we needed. The lighting gives the carefully designed interior a bright, charming feel. The owners were very helpful whenever we needed anything. I’d definitely recommend Casa Scinà to anyone visiting Syracuse.
