Donna Coraly Country Boutique Hotel

The peaceful setting and lovely views were wonderful, and the facilities were great. More than anything, the staff were the best I’ve ever experienced. I usually like discovering new places instead of returning to the same one, but I’ll definitely be back to Donna Coraly.

A week has already gone by! 😉 We had such a relaxing stay at Donna Coraly Country Boutique Hotel, surrounded by greenery and fresh air, with birdsong all around. It’s a lovely retreat only 10 minutes from the heart of Siracusa, Sicily. The spacious rooms were spotless, the beds comfortable, and the amenities top-notch. The whole team made the stay memorable. The owner gave us a warm welcome and checked in before we left. Many thanks to Reception: Moreno, Corrado, Sara, and Salvo; to the breakfast team, Elena, Filippo, and Barbara; and to Director Cinzia. The marvelous restaurant waiters and chef deserve thanks too, though hopefully they’ll forgive us for forgetting their names! The fresh food was a highlight, as was tasting the hotel’s own fresh, top-quality olive oil at lunch and dinner. We enjoyed it so much that we bought some to take home to Malta on our last day. 🇲🇹🫒 We really appreciated everyone’s dedication to great service and delicious local products. Thanks to the whole team for such a memorable stay. We’ll be back, and next time we’ll stay a little longer! 😉🥂

The two pools were lovely for relaxing in the sun, and the resort is so peaceful that it’s easy to unwind. The room was stunning, carefully designed down to the smallest detail, and had every comfort we needed. Nothing was missing, and the stay felt both luxurious and relaxing. From our warm welcome onward, the team were friendly, helpful, and genuinely keen to make everything go well. They shared the story of how the resort came to be and helped us arrange a day trip. We felt in good hands straight away. A special highlight was being invited to celebrate Donna Coraly’s 10th anniversary with friends and family. We felt very welcome, and it was an unforgettable evening. Breakfast was amazing, with lots of options, everything carefully presented and explained, and staff who knew exactly what we wanted to drink. It was the best possible start to the day. We left completely relaxed. Thank you for the experience, we’ll definitely come back one day!

We spent 3 nights at this boutique hotel and enjoyed our stay, though a couple of things took away from it. One was the birthday dinner we booked at the hotel restaurant for my partner. The service was very good, but the food fell short of our expectations, especially at Michelin-star-level prices. We had much better meals in Sicily for half the cost, so it was a real disappointment. I was also surprised by a €10 service charge on a small €12 ice-cream ordered while we were lounging by the pool. At check-in, we’d been told about a €10 "room service" fee, but I hadn’t realised it applied poolside too. I actually walked to the pool bar to place the order and would have been happy to wait there to avoid the charge. A percentage-based fee seems fairer for small items than a flat €10, so it’s useful for future guests to know. There was a lot we liked. The hotel grounds are beautiful and tranquil, with olive trees, a fruit and vegetable garden, and two pools where we relaxed every day. They make their own excellent olive oil. The hotel sits between Syracuse and Noto, so having a car is essential for exploring, which suited us fine. Our suite had lovely furnishings, quality furniture, a four poster bed, a private garden leading straight to the bio lake, and luxurious toiletries. A lot of thought has gone into the room and its amenities. Everyone on staff was professional, friendly, and attentive. We liked being able to ask for help over WhatsApp and get quick responses. Moreno was especially helpful from booking onward, arranging a surprise for my partner and giving great recommendations. He really wanted us to have the best experience, and we appreciated it. Sara gave us a lovely welcome on our first day. Breakfast was a small continental buffet, with cooked eggs available on request. The quality of every product was excellent, including garden fruit and vegetables, locally sourced food, and a fantastic range of honey. I loved the homemade kamquat jam made from kamquat they grow. The same lovely lady served us every day, and she was attentive and friendly.
